As we have a large group of dogs ourselves, we have experienced how difficult it is to find a nice vacation home where you are welcome as a multi-dog owner. For this reason, we rent out our vacation homes Maison Les Grues and La Benoîterie in beautiful Normandy to vacation guests, including those with several dogs.

Maison les Grues

The story of the vacation home Maison Les Grues is similar to that of a phoenix rising from the ashes. Originally, there was just an old, dilapidated barn on the 4500 square meter property. With a lot of energy and attention to detail, the original owners have created a real gem. Old and new have been perfectly combined. The origin of the house can still be recognized today, but now offers modern living at a high level.

Our vacation home Maison Les Grues offers you two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room with gallery and a spacious kitchen with adjoining dining area and conservatory on 170sqm of living space. Enjoy the 4500sqm garden in summer and the view of the beautiful marsh landscape, the so-called Marais, in winter.

La Benoîterie

The dog-friendly vacation home La Benoîterie is an old cooperage from the 16th century. On the 2000sqm, securely fenced (1.40-1.60m high) property there is also a ruin from the 13th century and a small pond. In the middle of the garden is an ancient oak tree, and many other trees offer shady spots to linger. In the evening, you have an excellent view of the sunset on the Cotentin from the ruins.

On 130 square meters, the vacation home La Benoîterie offers a small kitchen with adjoining dining area, two fireplaces, two bathrooms, a living room, a fireplace room and two bedrooms (one on the ground floor, one on the upper floor). The house has been renovated using natural materials as far as possible.

Get to know the beautiful and wild Normandy

Enjoy the fresh, salty sea air, treat yourself to a glass of cider or calvados, e.g. from Herout, taste fresh fish and seafood. Hike along the old customs routes along the coast or watch the migratory birds during your rest in the "Marais du Cotentin et du Bessin" national park. Our vacation homes Maison Les Grues and Maison des Lévriers are located near the Douve river. Between November and March, the surrounding pastures are flooded, creating a magical landscape that you should not miss.

Long walks on the endless beaches of the Cotentin are a must! There is a lot to discover here too. Perhaps you will have the opportunity to watch the oyster harvest at low tide. At low tide, you can still discover various wrecks on the landing beaches. Rommel's Atlantic Wall has also left its traces, which can be seen today as silent witnesses to history.
